TradeMic is a UK-based software service designed to help tradespeople generate quotes and invoices. We are the data controller for the personal data you provide when using this service. You can contact us at support@trade-mic.co.uk.
2. What data we collect
- Account information: Your name, email address, and password when you register.
- Business data: Quotes, invoices, customer details, and job descriptions you create within the app.
- Voice recordings: Audio you record to generate quotes. These are processed to produce text and are not stored beyond what is needed for transcription.
- Payment information: Billing is handled entirely by Stripe. We do not store your card details.
- Usage data: Basic analytics on how the app is used, to help us improve the service.
3. How we use your data
- To provide and operate the TradeMic service.
- To process payments via our payment provider, Stripe.
- To send you service-related emails (e.g. account confirmations, support replies).
- To improve the app based on how it is used.
We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising.
4. Legal basis for processing
We process your data under the following lawful bases:
- Contract: To provide the service you've signed up for.
- Legitimate interest: To maintain security and improve the service.
- Legal obligation: Where required by UK law.
5. Data retention
We retain your account and business data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your data is removed within 30 days, except where we are legally required to retain it.
6. Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your data.
- Object to or restrict how we process your data.

- Base44 — application hosting and infrastructure
- OpenAI / Google AI — AI-powered quote generation and voice transcription

We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and the app functioning. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
